Legend River Entertainment Co. LTD Presents

A Multimedia Explosion of Light, Sound and Movement

The life of Pulitzer Prize winning author, Pearl S. Buck is one of the most fascinating and emotion filled cross cultural stories of the 20th Century.

Now, her heroic story is being told in a full-scale Broadway style production that celebrates all her triumphs and tribulations.

Pearl is a multimedia explosion of light, sound and movement presented by Legend River Entertainment. It is told in five symbolic stages – Spring, River, Flower, Moon, Night – based on a famous poem written by Zhang Ruoxu, about the passing of human existence.

This highly charged dance interpretation of the coming together of two cultures “East meets West” is produced by renowned Chinese producer Angela X. Tang and is directed and choreographed by multi-award winner Daniel Ezralow.

Ezralow has choreographed for such events as the opening ceremonies of the 2014 Sochi Olympics as well as the Cirque du Soleil’s LOVE and the Broadway smash hit Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark.

Pearl features an amazing cast of 25 Chinese, Canadian and American dancers, including internationally acclaimed dancer Margie Gillis, and an elaborate set design with a majestic flowing river, 3ft wide and 55ft long and state of the art projection-mapping and stunning visuals.

At its Lincoln Centre World Premiere in August 2015, the New York Times stated it best:

Now audiences across North America have the once in a lifetime opportunity to see PEARL in all its magnificence and glory.
